Promethean designs and manufactures Bulk Milk Chillers from 500 LPD to 2000 LPD capacity. We work close with our customers in the field to design Bulk Milk Chillers customised to address their specific challenges: poor availability of grid power, faster chilling or even separately chilling of cow and buffalo milk.
Our proprietary – “Thermal Storage System” – lowers cost of operations by eliminating the need for Diesel Generators. Our systems are designed for ease of operations and maintenance which takes away the operational hassles for our customers and enables them to focus on the farmer community.


Micro Can Chiller
Promethean’s Micro Can Chiller offers an innovative solution to address spoilage and improve the quality of milk while also reducing costs. By arresting bacterial growth at the very source, namely the VLCC and farm level, these units effectively eliminate spoilage and extend the shelf life of milk.
The ability to chill up to 6 cans per shift especially for smaller operations or those looking to scale up efficiently can expand their reach and optimize primary transport by reducing the need for multiple trips.
Promethean’s patented Thermal backup is a game-changer, ensuring consistent chilling even in areas with unreliable grid power. These systems can chill milk from 35°C to 4 °C. This reliability is crucial for maintaining the quality of the milk during the chilling process, ultimately benefiting both producers and consumers.

Cold Storage
Farm Produce Chilling without Diesel Generator Backup Promethean’s CSS is the most economical way to chill, store and transport fresh fruits, vegetables and other perishables. Chilling the fresh produce immediately at the source is the most optimal solution to India’s cold storage challenge. This stationary cooling system can chill farm produce under erratic grid conditions without requiring a diesel generator.
At the heart of our Cold Storage Solution is Promethean’s Thermal Storage System which can store and release large amounts of thermal energy and be applied to various cooling applications.


Reefer Trucks/Van
The Reefer Vehicle operates on standard grid power, because of Promethean’s innovative Thermal Storage System (TSS) Technology. When grid power is accessible, the system converts electrical energy into cold energy using a suitable refrigeration compression cycle. This cold energy is stored in ‘Phase Changing’ material installed within the TSS, which is integrated inside the insulated reefer vehicle’s body unit and sized according to usage needs.
The stored cold energy in the TSS is utilized to maintain the reefer body temperature during transit, thereby eliminating the need for diesel-based refrigeration units, as seen in conventional reefer vehicle solutions where the compressor is mounted on the vehicle body and connected to the vehicle engine, resulting in higher diesel consumption.
Mobile Milk Chiller
The Mobile Milk Chiller, is an innovative solution that combines chilling and transport capabilities, thereby minimizing civil infrastructure requirements and reshaping the way milk is collected and preserved during transit. To ensure diesel-free chilling, the compressor is not mounted on the vehicle; instead, the unit charges at the base location before proceeding to various pooling points.
The Chill-on-the-Go feature guarantees that pooled milk is chilled from 35°C to under 7°C during transit, delivering top-quality chilled milk to the dairy.
Key features of the Mobile Milk Chiller include a user-friendly Dump Tank for effortless pouring, provision for evening collection lights, and a compact chilling system that maximizes space for testing equipment or other essentials. Solar Add On
All our chilling solutions are easily integrated with Solar Add-Ons. The combination of Thermal Energy and Solar Energy makes of Solar based Equipment a very potent combination to increase operational efficiency and effectiveness.
The “Thermal Storage System” is charged during daylight using Solar Energy. This ensures that the compressor has to be run only once during a 24 hour cycle. The Cold Energy Stored in the Thermal Battery can then be used to chill the produce for both the evening and morning shifts.
