We work with local communities to build a robust network of village level milk chilling infrastructure which benefits all the key stakeholders, farmers, dairy processors and consumers, by eliminating spoilage and delivering high quality milk.
We work on the following key principles:
- Every drop of milk should be chilled at the village itself to eliminate spoilage and improve quality
- Limit transportation by designing the procuring system to work in dense clusters of villages with milk lifting limited to only once a day
- All chilling to be done using our carbon friendly “Thermal Storage Technology
Our network of Rural Chilling Hubs enables us to work closely with farmers and support them to increase their income through our services in nutrition, health and loans. All services are provided to our farmers on a cashless basis with deductions being done from their milk accounts.
Chilling at source delivers higher quality of raw milk for the dairy processors, transparency in testing and timely payments provides a dependable source of income for smallholder farmers and access to organised markets creates a sustainable and viable business for our community partners.
